ROORK’S WING TIPS

THE COLD
WEATHER IS UPON US!
Cold
weather is here. The Slate Colored Juncos and White Throated Sparrows
have moved in until Spring.
As we put on our warm coats lets not forget that our feathered friends
need to keep warm too. Birds need a constant supply of high energy
foods to make it through the Winter. Oil sunflower seed, mixed seed,
peanuts, and especially suet provide the fat the birds need.
Serving fruit such as apples, plumped raisins, and oranges delight the
berry eaters. A heater in the bird bath provides them with life saving
water. Air tight bird houses give them warm places to roost at night.
While we stay warm and well fed this Winter, let's be sure that the
birds are too!
